The HCG Weight Loss Program Overview
Over the last few years there has been a tremendous surge of interest in Dr. Simeon’s original HCG medical injection protocol due to the work of an enterprising author who wrote a book about Dr. Simeon, bringing his program to the limelight of possible weight loss options.
Fit MD’s medical weight loss program integrates the basics of Dr. Simeon’s and Dr. Belluscio’s research (published 40 years ago), however has updated and incorporated current medical, technical, pharmaceutical and nutritional knowledge to create a system that is designed to rapidly burn fat while maintaining lean muscle mass and promoting a healthy metabolism.
This highly successful weight loss regimen is directed by a physician and, combined with the proper dietary modifications, can produce sensational results at 1/2 to 1 or more pounds per day.
We utilize the HCG hormone, which is produced in very large quantities in the placenta during pregnancy. It communicates with a part of the brain within the diencephalon called the hypothalamus which is considered the health maintenance organization of the body, regulating or influencing almost all of the health promoting systems in the body. Dr. Simeon’s originally discovered that the use of very small amounts of this hormone combined with a very specific diet led to fat loss without feeling hungry. So, is the use of this hormone safe in these small quantities? From every indication, it is not only safe but it actually may be helpful for things other than losing weight.
A review of various medical literature reveals that the medical use of this hormone may also cause a decrease in the risk of breast and prostate cancer. Current literature is also showing that the hormone directly affects Leptin, a hormone only recently discovered (in 1994) that is excreted by fat cells and travels to the hypothalamus to give the message “I’ve stored up enough fat, I don’t need to be hungry.” It seems this hormone helps unlock the pathway for Leptin in the hypothalamus. This natural occurring hormone is not HGH (Human Growth Hormone), nor is it an anabolic steroid. They are completely different molecules with different actions in the body.
The Fit MD medical HCG weight loss program is one of the safest and most effective present day version of Dr. Simeon’s original work. In the program, the client is monitored carefully to determine that the weight loss is coming from fat, not lean muscle mass. We use specific additional components to help assure appropriate and rapid weight loss. Our team is committed to the safest and best possible outcome for our patients.
Each individual is biologically unique and, of course, results may vary. Do we accept everyone into the program? No. The doctor determines eligibility on a one-on-one basis. Can we help most people? Yes. Will it be easy? It is easier than most people can imagine.
We encourage our patients to become familiar with our cutting edge approach in the quest of losing weight safely and quickly. The hormone and lipotropics we utilize are the ingredients that work with your body. Under most circumstances, the ability to quickly and safely lose fat without feeling hungry is the most common result we see. Fit MD will provide you with an excellent opportunity to enjoy the benefits of a trimmer and leaner body with a good, healthy BMI.
The Role of HCG in Weight Loss
HCG allows your body to tap into your body’s abnormal fat deposits (shoulders, upper arms, hips, thighs, and buttocks). In obese clients, these deposits are not usually accessible to the body for fat consumption. For this reason in many cases, no matter how much a person exercises and starves him or herself, they still struggle with unwanted fat particular areas of their body. The HCG present in the body allows these abnormal fat deposits to be tapped, releasing the abnormal fat into the bloodstream and out of the body. This release of fat is also why patients taking the HCG are not hungry. The HCG actually releases 1500-4000 calories per day into the bloodstream. This is the main reason it is acceptable to be on a 500 calorie per day diet. Without the HCG releasing the abnormal fat and, therefore, thousands of calories into the bloodstream, the person would be starving and be facing excess nutritional deficiency.

Frequently Asked HCG Questions
What is HCG?
HCG stands for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin. This hormone is present in both men and women, but is produced in great amounts by pregnant females. During pregnancy, the substance almost completely controls the woman’s metabolic functions. In non-pregnant persons, research suggests HCG similarly increases the metabolism similar to a pregnant female’s. Thousands of calories in stored fat are released, and are either used by the body or expelled. To keep the fat cells from immediately taking in more fat, a low-calorie diet is necessary and personal care products such as lotion are prohibited.
Dr. A.T.W. Simeons’ research suggests a small amount of HCG injected daily results in an average weight loss of 1 to 2 lbs a day when accompanied by a low-calorie diet.
What is the HCG Diet?
The HCG weight loss protocol consists of a low calorie diet accompanied by HCG injections. The average HCG dieter experiences rapid weight loss averaging from 1 to 3 pounds per day. In addition to the loss of unwanted fat, the true benefit of the HCG protocol is its ability to help modify the dieter’s relationship with food and eating, resulting in easily maintained long-term weight loss.
How Much Weight Can I Lose?
Patients can lose between 20-30 pounds during a 40 day treatment, which consists of 20 days of HCG injections and 20 days of a “maintenance phase” designed to help you continue to develop new, healthy eating habits while continuing to lose weight. Patients requiring the loss of more weight can have a second or even more courses. A second course can be started after an interval of not less than six weeks, though the pause can be more than six weeks after your last HCG injection. Your Fit MD will work with you to determine the appropriate duration of your treatment based on your weight loss goals.
With the Fit MD HCG diet program, you can not only lose weight but learn new, healthy eating habits to help you keep it off!
Will HCG interact with other medications I am taking?
Is HCG safe for men?
The HCG used in our weight loss protocol is already found in men. In fact, it is present in every human tissue, including males and non-pregnant women, as well as, pregnant woman.
The HCG protocol is safe for men and even works faster for men. While women typically lose .5 lb. – 1lb. per day, men typically lose .75 lb. – 1.5 lbs per day. HCG is prescribed for men with certain medical conditions, including low testosterone and has even been found to stimulate penile growth in hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism (IHH).
The HCG injections have the added affect of increasing endogenous testosterone production in men. Higher testosterone levels will also help to increase lean body mass in men.
What time should HCG injections be taken?
HCG injections are not restricted to any particular time of day. Patients can administer their HCG injections at any time that is convenient.
Do I get the injections at the clinic or can I take the injections home with me?
You will have the option to stop by Fit MD to receive your HCG injection or to take them home with you for your convenience. Our staff will properly guide you in the correct way to administer you own injections, if you wish. Please note that HCG injections must be kept refrigerated.
How long will I have to the injections?
Once the target weight has been achieved, many patients opt to continue HCG injections as part of a maintenance program. Many patients continue to use HCG for its benefit as an anti-inflammatory treatment for their arthritis, migraine headaches, fibromyalgia, etc.
What are the side effects?
Side effects using HCG injections are rarely noted, but include: menstrual irregularities (20%) & breast tenderness (5%), ovarian pain in patients with a history of polycystic ovaries, and acne.
Who should not take HCG?
Patients with a history of testicular or ovarian cancer and possibly prostate cancer cannot take HCG. It may not be appropriate for some people with a history of blood clots, especially those related to a hormonal influence.
The use of HCG in patients with a history of breast cancer remains controversial. Patients with a history of cancer may need clearance from their oncologist.
What about HCG and breast cancer?
Studies have shown that women with breast cancer experienced a reduction in tumor size or complete remission during pregnancy when enormous amounts of HCG are secreted (one million units/day).
Two human studies and one animal study also resulted in similar beneficial effects when high dose HCG was given to females with breast cancer. This new data seems to indicate that HCG may have a beneficial effect in patients with breast cancer.
What are additional benefits of HCG?
For over 30 years patients have enjoyed other benefits from HCG including: reduction of cravings (especially chocolate), increased libido (especially post-menopausal women and men over 40), and strong anti-inflammatory effects which helped patients with fibromyalgia, arthritis, chronic pain, MS, psoriasis, inflammatory bowel disease, lupus and even migraines.
“This weight reduction treatment includes the use of HCG, a drug which has not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration as safe and effective in the treatment of obesity or weight control. There is no substantial evidence that HCG increases weight loss beyond that resulting from calorie reduction that it causes a more attractive or “normal” distribution of fat, or that it decreases the hunger and discomfort associated with calorie restricted diets.”
